Who we are

The battery takeback schemes currently active in Germany, DS Entsorgungs- und Dienstleistung GmbH, Stiftung Gemeinsames Rücknahmesystem Batterien, RLG Systems AG, IFA-Ingenieurgesellschaft für Abfallwirtschaft und Umweltlogistik mbH and Gemeinsames Rücknahmesystem Servicegesellschaft mbH, provide information here on the proper disposal of used batteries and old rechargeable batteries.

In this way, their aim is not only to fulfil their information obligations in accordance with § 18 of the Battery Act (BattG), but also to increase the collection rate of used batteries and old rechargeable batteries in the long term, so that even more recyclable materials can be reused. The common logo will mean that the various collection points in the retail trade and municipalities as well as the voluntary collection points will be more clearly recognisable and linked with each other.

For this purpose, the companies offer free collection containers for various used batteries and old rechargeable batteries and take care of the transport. The used batteries are then separated into recyclable materials in recycling plants and made available for the production of new batteries and accumulators.
